The sun and moon circle inside it, the stars are fixed to it, and Polaris sits over a mountain at the centre of the world. There is no space, so nothing you build can leave.\r
\r
The rim\r
\r
The south pole isn't a point any more, it's the entire edge of the map. Out there is a ring of frozen sea you can land on, cross and settle. It gets colder the further you go: about -40C on the pack ice, past -55C at the foot of the Wall. Pressure ridges of old ice run across those maps and they're the only thing to mine or shelter in. Penguins, seals and walruses live on the flats, and so do the things that eat them.\r
\r
The last row of tiles is the Wall itself. You can click it and read it (-201C), but you can't land on it, settle it or path through it. Maps next to it get a cliff of wall ice with a core that nothing will cut. Carve a room into its face if you like. You're not getting past it.\r
\r
The people of the Wall\r
\r
Ice nomads who follow the pack ice around the rim and have never stood on soil. Settle the ring and a band of three to five turns up after a few days. They light a fire, build an igloo out of sawn ice while you watch, roof it, cut a fishing hole through the floe, fish and bathe in water that would kill you, trade, and then move on. Their fire burns for twelve days without tending. Mine the ridges yourself and you can build the same igloos: ice blocks, no research needed.\r
\r
Belief\r
\r
There's a flat earth meme and a ready-made ideoligion, rituals, quests out to the Wall, and a book called "200 Proofs Earth is Not a Spinning Ball" that slowly converts whoever reads it. One relic per world is hidden at the edge. Use it on a colonist and see what happens.\r
\r
Gravships fly under the dome instead of into orbit, the orbit view is sealed, orbital traders become high freighters, and meteorites are volcanic bombs.
