Originally a submod of Hospitality, Storefront now works standalone — vanilla caravan visitors will shop at your store even without Hospitality installed. If Hospitality is installed, it works seamlessly with Hospitality guests as well.\r\n\r\n  The store needs to be staffed, but in return it can earn you more silver per sold item than a regular trade deal. All items in an area around the cash register will be put up for sale.\r\n\r\n  Your customer's mood will depend on the social skills of your selling staff. On top of that, the selling price depends on the difference in negotiation skills between the customer and your staff. If you put an abrasive mute caveman in charge of your store you'll basically give everything away for free — and insult your visitors at the same time — so that would not be the brightest move.\r\n\r\n  What people prefer to buy follows common sense: a hungry visitor will head straight for food, and so on. But social skill also plays a role — a highly skilled seller can move items a customer might not have been looking for. There are always exceptions of course; you can't sell drugs to a teetotaler or clothes to a nudist, even with skill 20 :-)\r\n\r\n  What makes Storefront especially worth the effort is that a highly skilled seller can close deals above the guest's personal budget. The extra silver is wire-transferred from the faction's coffers to your cash register ;). This lets you shift expensive apparel, weapons, and other high-value goods. Art works too — just make sure it's uninstalled before putting it in the store area, since installed art (placed to boost\r\n   room beauty) won't be listed for sale.\r\n\r\n  Works with or without Hospitality. Cash Register is the only required dependency.\r\n\r\n\r\n\u003Ch3>Compatibility notes\u003C\u002Fh3>\r\nIf using both Gastronomy and Storefront in one cash register, make sure you close the restaurant if you just want it to be a shop or vice versa. Use two cash registers if you want to have both.
