The main downside here was their speed-they attack quickly, but not precisely, almost imitating the role of a Challanid. Of course, I also had to make them delicate because having venom on something that can tank an entire raid would be a bit too OP for outlanders and pirates.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>But, their upside is their honor code-after the second time the Regellans nuked themselves back to the Stone Age, the societies that came after took the apocalypse as a brutal lesson of what happens when men are blinded by emotion and twisted by cruelty. These are melee specialist pawns that literally do not have the potential threat to a colony that melee specialists tend to have-they won't contribute to drama or social spats, and they'll never have violent mental breaks. A Regellan never harms those they fight for, no matter how reviled and feared they are by other races.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>Their name generation went in the trope-y, obvious direction this time-weird goth alien Egyptian. I'm sorry, it just had to be done, Coptic Egyptian is a really cool language and very unlike the sound profile of any other namelist. It's a nice breather from whatever the Warhive language is...\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>It also makes sense with Regell being an almost Jakku-like desert planet. Yes, I said Jakku, not Tatooine. That's how barren it is. Regell is nothing but sand, rock, and scars from ancient wars. During the day, the Regellans hide in shelter to flee the sun, for it scorches even their far less sensitive eyes that filter light. Regellans can thrive on a drop of water every few days, and their traditional diet is basically anything that can fit into their slavering jawless mouths, including rotting corpses.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>Thankfully many modern Regellans don't have to resort to such methods, leaving Regell as knights-errant in the search of service to other powers or simple glory and adventure.
