Instead of one big patch that either works or doesn't, it's a bunch of small, separate optimizations you can turn on or off individually in the mod options, each with its own timing you can tune if you want to.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>This is an alpha. It runs stable on my own game, but every mod list is different, so I'm relying on people trying it out and telling me what breaks. If something feels off after installing, open the mod options and start switching things off one at a time to find the cause, then drop a comment here so I can fix it. There's also a diagnostics window built in that shows what each optimization is actually doing behind the scenes, useful if you want to help track something down.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch2>What it touches\u003C\u002Fh2>\r\u003Cbr>Stat calculations, hauling and storage searches, forbidden item checks, room stats, mood and beauty calculations, alerts, world pawns sitting idle, and a few other spots the game tends to waste time on. Nothing here changes how the game plays, just how much work it does to get there.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch2>Compatibility, read this before you ask \"can I run this with X\"\u003C\u002Fh2>\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Cstrong>Don't run alongside:\u003C\u002Fstrong>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Cul>\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>RimThreaded\u003C\u002Fstrong>. Different approach entirely (multithreading the whole game), and it conflicts with how this mod tracks what's happening during a tick. Known incompatibility, not a maybe.\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Performance - Slower Pawn Tick Rate\u003C\u002Fstrong> mod, if you also enable this mod's \"throttle off-screen pawns\" option. Same target, and stacking them can mess with the math that keeps mining jobs correct.\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Performance Esmolas\u003C\u002Fstrong> mod, specifically its ideology throttle and mothball options if you enable the matching ones here. Same targets, and stacking the ideology throttles can make dated rituals stop triggering properly.\u003C\u002Fli>\u003C\u002Ful>\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Cstrong>Fine to run together, but you're doubling up for nothing:\u003C\u002Fstrong>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Cul>\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Performance Optimizer\u003C\u002Fstrong> (by Taranchuk). A lot of overlap here (learn rate, mood, beauty, sun glow, plant growth, forbidden checks). Won't break anything, you're just running two caches doing the same job. Pick one side to disable if you want the cleanest setup.\u003C\u002Fli>\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Performance Fish\u003C\u002Fstrong>. Some shared ground (equality comparers, job search shortcuts, room stats, hauling). Same story, safe together, just redundant in places.\u003C\u002Fli>\u003C\u002Ful>\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Cstrong>Fine together, no need to touch anything:\u003C\u002Fstrong>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Cul>\u003Cli>RocketMan \u002F Missile Girl, DefLoadCache, HugsLib, Prepatcher, Humanoid Alien Races, Combat Extended, and pretty much any gameplay or content mod.
