Rotmeth is made from fermented meat, and was a ritual drink made by the Bosmer of Valenwood after the creation of the Green Pact. The Bosmer had vowed to never eat anything plant-based, and to make sure they use all the meat of their enemies' bodies after defeating them. Rotmeth was their solution for an alcoholic drink that didn't use plant-based materials. Rotmeth also finds its use on the Rim, as the fermenting process involved in making it disguises the origins of the meat used.
