This one replaces the colonist Work tab.

The vanilla Work tab does the job, but it becomes difficult to read once your colony gets larger. Sleek replaces the rows of small boxes and connector lines with a cleaner grid, colour-coded priorities, better headers, and optional panels for viewing and editing work assignments.

Most features can be enabled or disabled separately, so you can use the full Sleek layout or keep things closer to vanilla. See Make it yours below.

The grid

By default, the vanilla work boxes are replaced with small, colour-coded priority cells. Each priority has its own colour, making it easier to read an entire colonist’s row without checking every number individually.

Vanilla+ mode keeps the normal work boxes, but adds light row shading, cleaner headers, and a priority legend.

Work-type headers can use:

Classic
Slanted
Vertical

Columns automatically narrow where possible to fit more work types on screen. The window grows with your colony and uses the available screen space before adding a scrollbar.

Focus Cards

Left-click a work-type header to open its Focus Card beside the grid.

The card lists every colonist alongside their current priority, relevant skill, passion, and useful warnings. For example, it can point out a highly skilled colonist who is not assigned to the work, or someone with very little skill who has been given priority 1.

From the Focus Card, you can:

Set priorities using buttons or number keys

Change the entire list at once

Save and apply presets for individual work types

Copy one colonist’s setup onto others

Undo changes with Ctrl+Z

Drag across several colonists to paint priorities

The small arrow on a colonist’s row opens their Pawn Focus Card instead. This shows one colonist across every work type, along with their portrait and current job.

Per-job priorities

Work types can be expanded to change the order of the individual jobs inside them.

For example, you can place Tend before Rescue within Doctor, or decide which Construction tasks should be attempted first.

The main priority still controls when the work type is considered. Per-job priorities only change the order inside that category.

Anything left on Default keeps RimWorld’s normal job order, including changes made by other mods. A single button resets the entire work type, and the reset can be undone normally.

Priority scale

The priority scale can use 4, 5, 6 and 9 levels instead of vanilla’s fixed four. Priority 1 is always the most urgent.

If you later lower the maximum, any priorities above the new limit are moved down automatically. This applies to both colonist priorities and per-job settings.

Search and information

The search box can find colonists by name or title.

It can also search for work using:

Job names

Work types

Work scanners

Workstations

Coverage warnings mark work that currently has nobody assigned. They distinguish between work that is simply unassigned and work that none of your colonists are capable of doing.

There is also an optional map alert for missing coverage.

An idle button selects and jumps to the next colonist who currently has nothing to do.

Grouping

Grouping is disabled by default.

When enabled, colonists are placed into collapsible groups using the selected grouping lens:

Life stage

Best work

Assigned work

Health

Mood risk

Origin

Xenotype

Gender

Ideology role

Pawn title

Royal title

Custom groups

Groups can be collapsed, viewed one at a time, or replaced with your own named groups. Colonists can also be pinned to custom groups regardless of the current grouping lens.

Groups and their collapsed state are saved with the colony.

Make it yours

The settings are split into several tabs:

Grid
Focus Card
Editing
Accessibility
Compatibility
Advanced Options

Most features have their own setting, so there is no single all-or-nothing layout.

You can choose between the Sleek grid and Vanilla+, select your header and number styles, then enable or disable individual features such as:

Deep black background toggle

Hover crosshair

Coverage warnings and warning dots

Idle colonist button

Column-order reminder

Per-job editing

Drag editing

Scroll-wheel editing

Help button

Passion borders

Rename controls

and many more

Seriously, too many to list here

You can now put Work-type headers in whatever order you prefer using the optional Reorder mode (advanced mode).

Features that may be distracting or easy to trigger accidentally, including scroll-wheel editing, rename controls, and passion marks, begin disabled.

A reset option restores the recommended default settings.

Accessibility

Colour-vision settings are included for red-green and blue-yellow colour deficiencies.

Priority cells use differences in brightness and shape as well as colour, so the grid does not rely entirely on hue.

High Contrast brightens text and increases border thickness.

Calm mode removes some of the movement and visual emphasis from the grid, including hover bands, sheen, and coloured group accents.

Skill indicators are available in three sizes, and passions can optionally be displayed directly on priority cells.

Compatibility

Sleek only changes the colonist Work tab. Other pawn tables, including Numbers and Mech Work Tab, are left alone.

Full replacements for the Work tab take priority, and Sleek disables itself when any of these are active:

Work Tab by Fluffy

Better Work Tab

Compact Work Tab

Enhanced Work Tab

More Work Priorities also causes Sleek to stand aside by default. Optional compatibility settings allow some Sleek features to remain active, including the option to use Sleek cells with MWP’s stored priorities.

Grouped Pawns Lists controls Work-tab grouping by default. You can choose to let Sleek handle grouping on the Work tab instead.

WorkRoles is incompatible because it directly controls both priorities and job order.

The following are supported:

Smart Priorities

Personal Work Categories

Complex Jobs

Colony Groups

Mod-added work types

Many Jobs (continued)

Some more jobs

Alpha Skills

VSE

and Many more

Safe to add and remove anytime

Disclaimer

AI-assisted tools were used during development.
