A compatibility mod so carefully designed that if I was ferny I'd probably call it \u003Cstrong>Progression: Concrete\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\r\u003Cbr>\u003Cdetails>\u003Csummary>Spoiler\u003C\u002Fsummary>\u003Cdiv>(Disclaimer - I'm not ferny)\u003C\u002Fdiv>\u003C\u002Fdetails>\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>Therefore, it's time for UCP: the \u003Cstrong>Ultimate Concrete Patcher\u003C\u002Fstrong>\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch3>THE CANONICAL RESOURCE\u003C\u002Fh3>\r\u003Cbr>So, the first choice I had to make was to choose a canonical resource. Which Concrete would be the one to rule them all? After careful testing, the victor is \u003Cstrong>Aelanna\u003C\u002Fstrong> with their \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fsteamcommunity.com\u002Fsharedfiles\u002Ffiledetails\u002F?id=3592333180\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Poured Concrete\u003C\u002Fa> mod. Nice art style and awesome drying\u002Fcuring mechanics.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch3>SECONDARY MODS\u003C\u002Fh3>\r\u003Cbr>Poured Concrete is the only mod UCP truly needs. It already works with only some minor tweaks like creating an unified technology progressions with 2 new Research Projects and changing the recipes for Reinforced Concrete and Plascrete to require the base Concrete mix. However, UCP truly shines when you start stacking other mods on top of it. The most relevant ones are these 3:\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch4>VANILLA FACTIONS EXPANDED - CLASSICAL\u003C\u002Fh4>\r\u003Cbr>UCP patches the \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fsteamcommunity.com\u002Fsharedfiles\u002Ffiledetails\u002F?id=2787850474\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">VFEC\u003C\u002Fa> \"Concrete\" resource to be called \"Pressed Concrete\" instead, and clearly separates its progression from the regular concrete mix. Objects made of VFEC concrete will also be called \"Pressed concrete...\" so you'll no longer mix up the types of concrete. Cement Making, however (the technology used by VFEC) is a requirement to the Concrete tech this mod adds, giving linearity to the progression.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch4>INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE\u003C\u002Fh4>\r\u003Cbr>UCP utilizes \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fsteamcommunity.com\u002Fsharedfiles\u002Ffiledetails\u002F?id=2888037450\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Industrial Concrete\u003C\u002Fa>'s Concrete mixer as the new base method for creating the basic Concrete mix. If this mod is present, the Concrete mix recipe is removed from the Stonecutting workbench, and you'll have to use the mixer. It also patches and modifies all the relevant text and material usage, so you'll only ever see and use the canonical resource.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch4>EXPANDED MATERIALS - MASONRY\u003C\u002Fh4>\r\u003Cbr>UCP entirely replaces the Cement mix from \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fsteamcommunity.com\u002Fsharedfiles\u002Ffiledetails\u002F?id=3662913084\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Expanded Materials - Masonry\u003C\u002Fa> with the canonical resource, adding it to the progression and adding processing recipes for the EM Kiln to produce Concrete mix. It also uses Sand from EM-Masonry as a new ingredient for the canonical resource on all its instances. Just like with Industrial Concrete, using this mod will remove the Stonecutting workbench recipe for Concrete mix.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>Now, this is where the magic truly shines. These are not choices anymore; \u003Cstrong>you can use ALL of these mods\u003C\u002Fstrong>. UCP is prepared to handle this as graciously as I possibly could pull off. Expanded Materials Kiln will also be able to make VFE-Classical pressed concrete, both VFE-Classical and Industrial Concrete recipes will use Expanded Materials Sand and so on.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch3>ADDITIONAL MODS\u003C\u002Fh3>\r\u003Cbr>And it doesn't end there! A few more mods are embraced by UCP's loving grasp.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch4>INDUSTRIAL HARDLEATHER AND CONCRETE\u003C\u002Fh4>\r\u003Cbr>The electric mixer from \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fsteamcommunity.com\u002Fsharedfiles\u002Ffiledetails\u002F?id=3535926848\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Industrial Hardleather and Concrete\u003C\u002Fa> will be able to also create the modern Concrete mix after the pertinent technologies are researched; additionally it will have recipes adapted based on other mods active. For example, it will use cobblestone from Expanded Materials.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch4>INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE - EXTENSION PATCH\u003C\u002Fh4>\r\u003Cbr>The Electric concrete mixer from the \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fsteamcommunity.com\u002Fsharedfiles\u002Ffiledetails\u002F?id=3691243640\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Extension Patch\u003C\u002Fa> is recognized and adapted into the progression, and packed concrete recipes for the two additional types of Concrete mix (Reinforced and Plascrete) are added. They're also changed and can only be performed on a crafting spot. The art for the packed concrete is also changed since it was based on Industrial Concrete's style.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch4>INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE - VFE-FACTORY PATCH\u003C\u002Fh4>\r\u003Cbr>The Automated concrete mixer from the \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fsteamcommunity.com\u002Fsharedfiles\u002Ffiledetails\u002F?id=3694130023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Factory Patch\u003C\u002Fa> is reworked and receives a second input slot to account for the Reinforced concrete and Plascrete recipes, and also because it will use Sand on the regular Concrete mix recipe if using Expanded Materials. The factory is also the new way to pack or unpack concrete bags other than the crafting spot.\r\u003Cbr>\r\u003Cbr>\u003Ch3>ULTIMATE SAFETY LAYER\u003C\u002Fh3>\r\u003Cbr>I've tried to patch and cover all possibilities as best as I could, but there's always a chance that something went without being noticed.
