Aluminum
A standalone mod that adds aluminum (more traditionally known as aluminium), which is relatively weak but reduces the mass of items it's made with to 1/3, and is now required for creating Transport Pods and other vehicles in supported mods.
A standalone mod that adds aluminum (more traditionally known as aluminium), which is relatively weak but reduces the mass of items it's made with to 1/3, and is now required for creating Transport Pods and other vehicles in supported mods.
The main intended advantage of this material is to increase transportability of itself and items it's made with, allowing you to pack stuffable things with less weight than if they were made with other resources.
Supported mods:
- OUTDATED: Rimnauts 2 (changes Space Station to be made of aluminum, adds aluminum ore asteroids, and changes all rockets to require aluminum, replacing the majority of their steel cost)
- SRTS Expanded (changes all ships to require aluminum, replacing the majority of their steel cost)
- SRTS - Helicopters (changes all helicopters to require aluminum, replacing the majority of their steel cost)
- Transport Shuttle 1.4 (changes all shuttles to require aluminum, replacing the majority of their steel requirement)
- Transport Shuttle Standalone (same as Transport Shuttle 1.4)

Mods to be supported, but haven't had their patches implemented yet:
- None currently.
Known issues:
- RimNauts 2 patch needs to be updated as they went from having multiple rockets (1 for each payload type) to 1 rocket that can launch cargo, a satellite, or a space station.
- Please report any further issues you have with this mod.
Additional notes:
- Aluminum will also be supported by an upcoming but unfinished Ore Refinement mod.
