Archite Heritage

Inherited Archite genes with late awakening Archite Heritage allows carriers of a special Archite gene to pass their Archite genes on to their biological children. Inherited genes do not become active at birth: they remain hidden until adulthood, appear as inactive in the gene window, and do not trigger their effects. At the age of 18, biological awakening begins — the carrier falls into a coma for 10-20 days. After its completion, the genes become full-fledged active endogens.

What does the mod do

  • Adds the gene "Architectural heritage".
  • The carrier passes on archetypal genes to their biological children.
  • One suitable parent: standard inheritance chance of 50%.
  • Identical gene in both suitable parents: guaranteed inheritance.
  • Works with vanilla and properly implemented mod architext genes.
  • Until the age of 18, inherited genes are displayed as inactive cards.
  • After the age of 18, a wake‑up coma lasting 10–20 days is triggered.
  • Xenogenes and genes implanted later are not blocked and work as usual.
  • Supports existing saves.

Requirements

  • RimWorld 1.6
  • Biotech
  • Harmony

Compatibility

The mod identifies archived genes based on the biostatArc > 0 parameter, so it doesn’t require compatibility lists for most genes from other mods. Harmony patches don’t use a transpiler, but mods that significantly alter child generation or the gene system are best checked together with it.

Important

The coma applies only to archived genes inherited from ancestors. If a xenogen is implanted in a child or a gene is added in any other way after birth, it will not be artificially put into a dormant state. Thank you for using Archite Heritage!
