Overview
Adds the lupaios (plural 'lupaii'), a race of curious wolf-like creatures, known for their kinship and preference for cold environments. They live together in clans, where trust and honor form the foundation of their societies. Though generally distrusting of outsiders, circumstance doesn't always leave all options open.
This mod has been extensively tested in multiple long-running games, and should be stable. Let me know if any issues arise for you.
I highly recommend creating a new save when adding this mod, since it adds new factions. You may be able to use the Faction Discovery mod, if you really want to keep your save, but this is untested.
Gameplay notes
Lupaii are mostly the same as a regular human, in that they can do, think and eat the same things. There are only
two notable differences: lupaii are slightly better at hand-to-hand combat, since they have claws, and they are more resistant to cold than humans, since they have fur. That's about it.
How do I get these in my colony?
- Interact with the lupaii clans on your world, and befriend/rescue/find/buy/capture someone.
- Create your faction as a lupaii clan in the scenario editor (when starting a new game), to make all starting pawns lupaii.
- Use EdB Prepare Carefully to add lupaii to your starting colonists.
Compatibility
Works with and without Royalty or Ideology expansions. Supports Biotech expansion, but does not make use of the children feature.
Should be compatible with most things that affect normal pawns (humans), including bionics, surgeries, body parts, etc. If something in particular is broken, let me know and I may be able to look into it.
Not compatible with Combat Extended.
What was that update?
I use the Change Notes tab on the Workshop item. Check there for patch notes.
Thanks

See changenotes. Vanilla Events Expanded is one of our oldest mods, and I’m honestly shocked it’s holding up so well - it’s pretty resistant to game updates and bugs because of its simplicity. Back when I first made it with Kikohi, we didn’t know much about modding. I just wanted
