Biome Toggle

Customize your planet by choosing exactly which biomes are allowed to generate. Ever wanted a world that is purely desert and ice, with no temperate forests in sight? Or maybe you have a biome pack installed but absolutely hate one specific biome it adds? Biome Toggle adds a simple settings menu that lets you easily turn off any biome before generating your world. Simply go to Options → Mod Settings → Biome Toggle, uncheck the biomes you don't want to see, and then start a new colony. The disabled biomes will be completely excluded from the planet generation algorithm. Note: This only affects the world map generation. If a mod adds an event that temporarily changes your local map to a different biome, this mod will not prevent that event.

Compatibility & Performance

  • Zero Overhead: This mod uses native engine features (toggling the generatesNaturally flag) to filter biomes rather than relying on Harmony patches. This means zero performance impact and maximum compatibility with other mods.
  • Safe to add or remove mid-save: Disabling a biome only affects new world generation. It will not destroy or corrupt existing saves where that biome already exists. Removing the mod is perfectly safe and will simply allow all biomes to generate normally on your next playthrough.
Consider the alternative Biome Commonality by Mlie if you instead want to change how often a biome spawns. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2582875043 Made with Modmixer.
