Black Market Crates
Adds a Black Market Crates system to the game, accessible via the comms console.
Adds a Black Market Crates system to the game, accessible via the comms console. Colonists can contact black market merchants, spend silver to purchase different tiers of airdrop crates, and receive random cargo near the colony.
The contents of the crates vary based on tier, weightings, and reward multipliers, potentially bringing resources, equipment, pawns, animals, or some trouble. Higher tiers generally yield better rewards, but in the black market of the RimWorld, no trade is ever guaranteed to be profitable.
Upon completing the transaction and opening the crate, the merchant will provide sarcastic text evaluations based on the actual results, so be prepared for their merciless mockery.
Additionally, a contact option for a Recycling Merchant has been added to the comms console. This merchant buys almost every item in the game, making it easy for the colony to quickly clean up any junk obtained from the crates and convert it into silver, providing ample funds for your next purchase.
The mod provides detailed settings, allowing players to freely adjust output weights, reward multipliers, the probability of dangerous events, and more. You can treat it as a minor system to occasionally test your luck, or configure it into a high-stakes gamble that could alter the entire fate of your colony. Even if you are not interested in the crates, simply using the Recycling Merchant to dispose of colony waste is a viable option.
