Empire Refactored: Herds & Fisheries mod preview for RimWorld

Did you know that rare and exotic animals just sprout from the ground?

Did you know that rare and exotic animals just sprout from the ground? No? Yeah, me neither. Yet in Empire Refactored, with just a bit of patience, you can get your own thrumbos for free from high-animal-production settlements.

Bit silly, isn't it?

Empire Refactored: Herds & Fisheries

With this mod, animals (beyond the barnyard basics) are no longer free. In order to tithe animal products or livestock from a settlement, you have to first send a breeding pair of that animal. You want your settlement to send you mink leather? Better find and tame a male and female mink. You want to equip your mercenaries with attack wargs? You'll need to send them over to your settlement first!

Fishing is affected differently — settlements only have access to fish if they're located on a river, lakeshore, or coast. And even then, they'll only have access to the appropriate fish of their biome.

And, to top it all off — if a settlement doesn't have access to any live animals, then its animal resource production is zeroed out.

Time to get ranching!
