Kurzaen's Serious and Silly Backstories

Hello! I'm Kurzaen and this is my first mod for Rimworld! Finally after over 1,500 hours I put some of my own work on here!

This mods adds 56 85 backstories for all pawns in your Rimworld! Some are silly and goofy, while others keep in-universe and can be quite dark. I tried to keep the amount of each about even, and it even includes backstories for children!

Some examples are, but not limited to;

• Basement Dweller
• Game Developer
• Lawyer
• Bite Suit Worker
• Livestreamer (with references to some streamers!)
• NSFW Artist
• Oil Miner
• Propane Salesman
• MRE Food Reviewer

And many many more!!

UPDATE 1.1

4/23/26

-Updated spelling on the Disco Cop adult background.
-Fixed JOY scientist and JOY addict not having proper shortnames. (oops!)
-No new backstories have been added yet, but I'm slowly falling back into the rimworld addiction, so who knows!

"THE UPDATE THAT MAKE THE MOD WORK"

HELLO I'm back to update my mod! And while digging through the code, I found out that.....I HAD USED THE WRONG SPAWNDEFS AND OVER HALF OF THE BACKSTORIES I HAD WRITTEN WERENT SPAWNING IN!!
So.. as of this update;

-Everything should be working as intended, all the backstories should be spawning properly now.
-Added 29 NEW backstories, 27 of them being for adulthoods, 2 for childhoods.
-Fixed spawnDef tags on all existing and new backstories, meaning they should all be spawning among all existing factions now.
-Updated a few backstories to improve grammar and spelling.

Are you planning on updating this mod?
Maybe! As much as I love Rimworld I tend to fall in and out of addiction with it, so if i ever get the inspiration, I might add more or tweak some!

Does this mod work with Combat Extended?
Probably! The clown backstory needs its own caliber of bullet called .420DE, which is currently unobtainable, so give it a shot!

I think I see a spelling error? Is English your first language?
