Maidnoid Codex

Maidnoid Codex is a standalone browser for units from Silversol's Maidnoid and its installed add-ons. This feature originated as the codex included in Maidnoid Adventures. The standalone edition was released ahead of MA's official release so colonies using the original Maidnoid mods can enjoy the codex without the scenario.

Features

• Automatically displays only the Maidnoid lines you have installed.
• Shows every unit's name, portrait, and original description from the start.
• Displays each unit as Unresearched (required research), Gestation available, or Owned.
• Shows work capabilities, bandwidth cost, weight class, division, and research tier as tags, alongside a gestation material summary.
• A search box covers names, serial codes, and tags at once. Separate words with spaces to narrow the list to entries matching all of them.
• You can attach your own tags to any unit. Tags are stored in the mod settings rather than the save, so they carry over to new games.
• Filters units with dedicated All, Basic, Standard, High, Ultra, and Special buttons.
• Sorts by bandwidth or localized name. Selecting the active criterion again toggles ascending and descending order.
• Remembers the selected category and sorting.
• Units that cannot be unlocked through research are separated into Special. The Magna Fortress line and the special dispatch maids belong here, since they arrive through story or a dedicated route. They still appear under All.
• General mass production units that gestate without any research stay in Basic, since having no research requirement is normal for them.
• Opens the full information card for each unit directly from the codex.
• Organizes each installed line into its own tab without creating empty tabs for missing add-ons.
• Automatically excludes summoned drones, the Magna Fortress main body, and other units not intended for normal gestation or collection.
• The bottom Maidnoid Codex tab and the mechanitor/Maidnoid gizmo can be toggled separately in mod settings.
• Supports Korean and English.

Compatibility

Maidnoid Codex is incompatible with Maidnoid Adventures. MA already includes its own codex tailored to General and Scenario modes. Enable either Maidnoid Codex or Maidnoid Adventures, not both. If the incompatibility warning is ignored, the standalone codex automatically stays dormant to prevent duplicate codex behavior. This mod does not alter any units or source-mod data. It only provides the codex UI and reads current research and ownership information.
