Description

Melee Fitness treats Melee as physical fitness: it scales how well a colonist moves, works, and carries, and it turns a hard day of walking and labor into Melee XP overnight.

Fitness bonuses
Your Melee skill acts like a fitness-stat for that colonist. Higher Melee means better move speed, general labor speed, and carrying (vanilla carrying capacity / CE carry weight, plus CE bulk). Lower Melee means the opposite. Each bonus uses a configurable multiplier range from Melee 0 to Melee 20 (defaults roughly 90%–130%).

Daily Melee training
Pawns do not get extra Melee XP drip-fed while they walk or work. Instead, once per day at local midnight, each humanlike pawn gets a lump of Melee XP from:

Movement: cells walked during the day × a per-cell amount (configurable; banked quietly, then granted in one shot).
Labor: a percentage of Construction, Plants, and Mining XP earned that day (configurable; default is a small share).
So a busy day of hiking, building, farming, and mining pays off as Melee overnight.

Vanilla Melee XP from fighting and similar Melee work is unchanged. Optional debug logging can print the midnight grant breakdown to the log.
