Meta's Genelines - Haiduk

Meta's Genelines - Haiduk mod preview for RimWorld

A combat-oriented xenotype that rejects bionic augmentations.

Haiduks are engineered soldiers. Where hussars are elite soldiers, haiduks are ideal grunts, tailored to be cheaply vatgrown. They move fast, are obedient, and their bursts of strength makes them perfect in short fights. Despite their military origin, haiduks integrate well into civilian society - provided they have a clear authority figure to follow. Their superhuman physiology has led some to become firefighters and construction workers. Others lean on their passing similarity to baseliners and work as discreet bodyguards.

Depending on your modlist, the xenotype changes slightly.

With Vanilla Extended Framework active:
- Haiduks come with a random terrain proficiency, doubling their movement speed on either river, ice, or sand terrain.
- Their brain focuses on battle when in pain, gaining 50% shooting accuracy but learning new skills at a fifth of the usual rate.
Without, they will be very fast walkers and excellent shooters, instead of fast walkers and good shooters.

With either Royalty or Ideology active:
- Haiduks come with a psychological need for leadership. Because they were made to be soldiers, this is satisfied by listening to long speeches.

Without, they instead need psychite.

Aside from the above, their most unique feature is their amazing limbs. When their limbs are biological, they have a permanent +15% to efficiency; they can also consciously disable the body's limiters to achieve a burst of strength, overwhelming the muscles and forcing the limb to recover for a day. This burst of strength is an ability; arms can perform a powerful punch, pushing back and stunning the target, while legs are capable of a long jump.

Compatibilities:
- CE: no.
- Clone Vats: yes. I added a research project so you can vatgrown haiduks from nothing.
- Big & Small: yes. Xenotypes that change a pawn's body plan, for instance granting them six arms, result in six charges of the punch ability.
- Anomaly: yes. Ghouls can use this mod's abilities.

AI disclosure: hah. Human-made, baby.
