The Monolyns are beings whose origins are unknown. They primarily live by forming closed communities, believing in something in order to carry out their own purposes. What the Monolyns will do in this Rimworld, and what stories they will write, is up to you.

Features

Monolyns neither age nor get sick, and they have a natural talent for becoming close with people. However, they always suffer from obsessive thoughts and have an extreme fear of darkness. Beyond that, there are many other ways in which they differ from humans.

Additional gene

· Black Blood - The blood of this gene carrier is replaced by a fluid of enigmatic properties.

· Achluophobia - Carriers of this gene have an extreme fear of darkness.\nWhen in darkness, there is a chance they will have a mental breakdown at any moment.

· Obsessional Directive - Consciousness permanently decreases by 15%, but the mental disorder threshold also decreases by 7%.

· Unitary Cohesion - A kinship relationship is formed among the gene carriers.

·Genetic Abstinence - Gender is removed, and they acquire asexual characteristics.

· Great Affinity - Social influence increases, you gain an advantage in trades, and the probability of having deep talk rises.

Baptism

Monolyns are a genderless species, incapable of leaving behind descendants. Instead, through the system of baptism, they can bring others into their kin — and they are so deeply fond of their kin that they carry an innate desire to make non-kin into one of their own. However, guided by their doctrine, they restrain this urge — and so are reluctant to baptize anyone without their consent. Probably. Though given that baptism candidates are occasionally seen putting up resistance, perhaps that is not entirely true.

Lantern

Monolyns have an extreme fear of darkness. They are constantly being pursued by a Archotech named Ænigma, and they always carry a lantern with them to hide from its gaze. If they remain in a dark place for too long without the protection of a lantern...

Divinitech

The Monolyns utilize a enigmatic technology known as divinitech. Through prayer, they gather an energy called Light into the Tower and advance related research. Using this, they can perform magelike feats—such as constructing buildings in an instant or operating various automated facilities.
