The Livens Projector was created by Captain William Livens of the Royal Engineers in WWI. It's unreliability and inaccuracy, but it was cheap, simple and extremely effective in delivering chemical weapons. If you want to bomb enemy with low cost or without mortar, the Livens Projector is what you need. Livens Projector is unlocked by smithing, and cost 50 metal and diggable terrains to build (In history, projectors were buried in soil to absorb recoil). It can only use "simple shells". Inaccurate with a miss radius of 15, but it has a fast warm-up time of 0.5s, allowing you to preload them and quickly fire all shells with just one colonist. Simple Shells:- satchel charge: 3.9 explosion radius, cost 5 cloths and 20 chemfuel. Craft in Crafting Spot and Tailoring Bench.
- simple incendiary shell: 3.9 explosion radius, cost 5 cloths and 30 chemfuel. Craft in Crafting Spot and Tailoring Bench.
- tox gas cylinder (Biotech Only): 30 tiles of tox gas in 10 s, cost 5 steel and 20 chemfuel. Craft in Crafting Spot and Machining Table.
