Powerful AI Integration
Make your RimWorld colony speak, remember, react, and answer you.
Powerful AI Integration turns your colony into a more living story. Pawns can talk about what is actually happening: raids, wounds, hunger, visitors, weddings, prisoners, research, children, work, fear, jokes, grudges, romance, and quiet little colony moments.
This is not just random AI chatter. The mod reads real game context, then uses AI to make the colony feel aware of itself.
What it feels like in game
- A wounded pawn calls for help instead of calmly discussing the weather.
- Visitors notice your base, your wealth, your defenses, and why they came.
- Prisoners sound like prisoners, traders sound like traders, enemies sound like enemies.
- Colonists can remember old conversations, relationships, rumors, arguments, promises, and story arcs.
- Dialogue can appear in the colony chat, lightweight overlay, Interaction Bubbles, and even be spoken aloud with TTS.
- You can talk to pawns, negotiate with traders, contact factions, question prisoners, or give safe natural-language orders.
The goal is simple: your colony should feel like it remembers.
Do I have to pay for AI?
Not necessarily.
The setup window includes hints for local models, free tiers, and OpenAI-compatible providers. You can use cloud APIs, local models, bridges, Player2, LM Studio, Ollama, OpenRouter-style endpoints, and many other compatible servers.
If your provider or local server does not work, leave a comment with the model name, endpoint style, and error. I actively add compatibility fixes.
Text-to-speech included
EdgeTTS is supported out of the box and does not require an API key.
Generated dialogue can be spoken aloud automatically. The chat overlay and bubbles can wait for voiced lines, so conversations feel like a stream instead of a text dump.
Other TTS options are also supported, including Local HTTP, OpenAI-compatible TTS, Fish Audio, SiliconFlow CosyVoice2, and SiliconFlow IndexTTS2.
Main features
- Living pawn dialogue based on real events, jobs, health, mood, needs, traits, genes, psycasts, titles, ideology, relationships, and surroundings.
- Built-in colony chat with a journal, lightweight overlay, ultra-light overlay, and Interaction Bubbles support.
- AI voices / TTS with automatic playback, replay buttons, voice variation, and provider settings.
- AI Storyteller / Powerful AI Director with roles, scene goals, arcs, genre profiles, canon rules, cooldowns, and fallback logic.
- AI pawn control for safe natural-language actions like moving, eating, sleeping, recreation, work, tending, feeding, rescuing, attacking visible threats, and using discovered interaction options.
- Diplomacy and negotiation with factions, traders, and prisoners through player-written text.
- Story memory for conversations, relationships, rumors, conflicts, promises, factions, characters, and major colony events.
- Persona tools to generate, improve, randomize, assign, and evolve pawn personalities.
Built for real gameplay
The mod tries to stay grounded in the current game instead of drifting into unrelated roleplay. It tracks combat state, passive threats, visitors, prisoners, slaves, guests, traders, enemies, social roles, faction context, family scenes, medical care, recreation, research, food shortages, and more.
For safety, AI control does not create new designations, bills, zones, arrests, capture orders, forced recruitment, or lovin.
If the model fails, times out, or returns something invalid, the mod uses local fallback logic where possible.

Saves and safe removal
- You can add this mod to an existing save.
- Before removing it from an existing save, use the safe-removal tool in the mod settings.
- Recommended removal: load the save with the mod enabled, open settings, use Safe removal -> Prepare current save for mod removal, save under a new name, quit RimWorld, then disable/remove the mod.
- Make a backup first. Removing without cleanup can leave missing mod data and may cause UI issues, flickering, red logs, or visual distortion.
Active testing
This mod is growing quickly. If you see an error, strange AI response, unsupported provider, broken voice, performance issue, or have a good idea, please leave a comment.
The interface is translated into many languages, and more compatibility work is added regularly.
Let the colony talk. Let it remember. Let the story push back.
