Progression: Education - Proficiency Practice
An unofficial add-on for Progression: Education.
An unofficial add-on for Progression: Education.
Proficiency Practice
In Progression: Education, weapon tiers are all-or-nothing: you sit through a full class and either earn the tier or you don't, and cancelling the class throws the progress away. This add-on makes proficiency progressive and gives your pawns several ways to earn it.
Features
- A progress bar appears under each track in the Knowledge panel
- Progress and class-time banking apply to every proficiency track (weapons, speech, vehicles); new practice activities are weapon-focused
- With Misc. Training, practice and inspection become prioritizable jobs under its "Training" work type; otherwise they run automatically during recreation
- Configurable in mod settings
How pawns earn proficiency
- Preserve lessons from class - class attendance is banked to each student, so cancelling a class keeps whatever they already earned
- Training bench practice - pawns can practice at P:E's firearm station; can be done outside of Shooting class, slowly raising their proficiency
- Inspect next-tier weapons - pawns can inspect next-tier weapons, slowly raising their proficiency
- Craft next-tier weapons - crafting next-tier weapons grants some proficiency
- Next-tier use (optional) - pawns can equip a weapon one tier above their proficiency and learn much faster in the field, but until they earn the tier they suffer misfires and the occasional dropped weapon
Compatibility
Should be compatible with other mods (only patches P:E and Misc. Training); I've ~500 mods in my game. Safe to add/remove to an existing save.
Requirements
- Progression: Education (by ferny)
- Harmony
