Mod pack drastically changes gameplay. New mechanics makes harder resources mining and changes production cycles. Raids do not give notifications (little helper:TACS from Rimatomics), Fog of War forces you to explore and fight different ways. No starting researches. But your wealth means much less, you can increase speed of production with researches, build new defencies, explore new territories.
True hardcore players may try new Scenario - Crashlanded: Hard.
Mod pack installation do not overwrite your main config files, it uses -savedatafolder, so you are able to switch between your main config and mod pack config on the fly. Easy to install and uninstall.
