Reparable Artificial Parts
Don't you think it's weird that bionic body parts still heal like normal flesh?
Don't you think it's weird that bionic body parts still heal like normal flesh? This mod disables tending and self healing from injuries sustained on body parts that has been replaced by artificial prosthetic parts. Those injuries instead require manual repair by a pawn assigned to smithing, akin to how friendly mechs need repair.
Internal organs require the pawn to be unconscious to repair, because unlike whatever RimWorld logic allows doctors to tend internal organs without cutting people open, the pawn doing repair needs to actually get in there to repair the damaged artificial organs. If you want a broken bionic heart to get repaired, anesthesize the pawn first and your smithing workers will repair it while the pawn is unconscious. Think of it as a balanced trade-off that allows you to heal those body parts without having to wait for the slow natural healing rate, but you need to get the pawn unconscious first. (This unconscious requirement can be disabled in the mod settings.)
By default, does not affect archotech parts because their "internal workings are a mystery to all human minds" or something. You can set which tech level should get affected in the settings.
