RimAgent: Orca Deepseek is an agent-driven storyteller and companion mod for RimWorld 1.6. Once an LLM API is configured, an agent storyteller can observe your colony, read recent events, understand pawn situations, talk with you during play, shape the narrative pace, and even affect in-game events when appropriate. It can be a watcher, a storyteller, and a persistent presence in your colony's story. Main Features

• Adds an agent storyteller system
• In-game chat window for direct conversation with the agent storyteller
• The agent storyteller can read colony summaries, recent letters, pawn information, and available incidents
• Optional AI planning lets the agent choose story events based on the current colony state
• Highly extensible tool system that lets the agent understand and affect the game
• Supports personas, skills, plugins, mood, and proactive dialogue systems
• Optional RimTalk integration for recent chat context
• Supports DeepSeek, OpenAI, OpenRouter, and custom OpenAI-compatible APIs

Built-in and Custom Storytellers The current version includes one built-in preset agent storyteller: Orca. Players can also fully customize their own agent storytellers, including name, description, persona prompt, and narrative style. The full release is planned to support Google Gemini and add a second built-in agent storyteller: Cat Gemini. Important: You Need Your Own API Key This mod does not provide free AI service and does not include a hosted model. To use agent dialogue, planning, and tool features, you must configure a supported LLM provider with your own API key. Without an API connection, the mod can still work as a normal RimWorld storyteller, but the agent features will remain inactive. Beta Notice This is a feature-complete beta release intended to collect player feedback. Beta does not mean final quality. The mod architecture may change significantly in future versions, including settings, extension formats, and internal systems. Workshop Safety Build For the Steam Workshop release, some high-risk capabilities have been removed or restricted, such as script execution permissions for skills. The Workshop version prioritizes player safety and control over exposing every experimental feature. Network and Privacy When you enable an external AI provider, the mod may send necessary conversation and game-state information to the provider you configured. Optional features such as Tavily search, HTTP MCP, or other external tools may also make additional network requests. Only configure API providers, proxies, and external tool services that you trust. Add Memory system, its a REM-like system based on RAG. Add ToolsQueryEmbedding to save some tokens. Add Knowledge lib. Add compatibility content to rimtalk memory expand.
