RimAMP

RimAMP brings a Winamp style music player into RimWorld. It sits quietly on your HUD, plays the game soundtrack alongside your own music, and gives you real control over what plays and when.

Three player sizes

• Mini: a tiny card that tucks into a corner. Title, transport, seek, and volume at a glance.
• Medium: a phone style player with cover art. The art area swaps to a library or equalizer whenever you want it.
• Full: a Spotify style app window with a sidebar, a browsing pane, and a now playing bar. Also available in the classic Winamp look, or any classic skin you load.

Plays your music, not just the game's

• Drop OGG, MP3, or WAV files in the RimAMP music folder and they appear in your library with real track titles read straight from the file tags.
• Every song from RimWorld and its DLCs is already in the queue, along with any music mods you have installed.
• Save and load playlists. Tap the heart on a track to build a Liked list over time.

Music that matches the moment

• Turn on Mood matching and RimAMP plays combat tracks when a raid hits, then calm tracks once the colony settles.
• Choose exactly when music is allowed to play: during peace, during combat, and at night, each on its own toggle.
• Per track tags let you decide whether a song belongs to peace, combat, or any moment at all.

Sound and sight

• A 10 band equalizer with presets shapes the sound in real time.
• A visualizer window with several built in effects, plus real support for classic MilkDrop preset files. Drop .milk files in the presets folder and they animate to your music.
• Classic Winamp skins load straight from .wsz or .zip files, bitmap fonts and all.

Control another player

• Switch RimAMP to remote mode and the transport buttons drive Spotify, foobar2000, or any player that listens to the media keys, with the current track shown right in the card.

Made to fit your screen

• Drag any window where you like. The player, equalizer, library, and visualizer snap together magnetically and move as a group.
• Every window remembers its size and place.
• When Modern Notifications is installed, RimAMP borrows your chosen accent color so everything matches.

Compatibility

• Works alongside the Now Playing mod and hides its overlay so you never see the same information twice.
• Reads the Now Playing icon set for source art when that mod is present.
• Requires Harmony.
