Ransom. Torture. Executions. All in a day’s work for the gang. All in a day’s work for every gang in Pittsburgh.

Nobody remembers when The Pitt was a trading hub. Hell, most of these degenerates don’t remember yesterday. Caravans would pass through and settlers used to settle. Now they tell horror stories of wildmen and cannibals.

Who cares what those cowards think, right? They don’t know what life’s like here. The pollution’s messing with our heads, and we need the chems to stay focussed. That’s what we’re all fighting for. Even the traders deal in chems, and we need their ammo to blast the trogs. We’d rob ‘em too if they didn’t have bazookas.

To scare off the scum, the crew call me ‘Rat King’. Now and then we drop a hostage into the sewer, let the swarm gnaw their feet, and pull ‘em back up. They don’t mess with us after that. Sometimes they don’t walk after that either.

A while back we were sitting on a stash of mentats, and I fed a tin to the rats. I swear they started talking, so I sprayed ‘em with paint to remember in the morning. They stay above ground now and eat the scraps. The gang like ‘em, but I think they’re up to something; scheming in their little vermin voices. I’ll figure it out eventually.

(Scourge is suitable for experienced RimWorld players. For additional Fallout flavour, select Randy Random AI storyteller and colonize an arid map tile and planet. No mods required.)

(Some Fallout NV settlements constructed in old RimWorld versions for inspiration: Goodsprings , Hidden Valley Bunker , Fortification Hill )
