Overview
Semi-Commitment mode is a new mode between
Reload anytime and
Full Commitment mode. It adds a new game mode to RimWorld that lets you play in commitment mode (permadeath), with autosave enabled, but also save on every incident.
How it works
You select
Semi-Commitment mode in the Storyteller settings screen when starting a new game, right between Reload Anytime and Full Commitment.
•
Save rotation: The mod saves the game in multiple rotating slots (CommitSave-1, CommitSave-2, etc.) instead of overwriting the same file over and over.
•
Vanilla Commitment Mode: The standard commitment mode is not affected by this mod and works 100% like normal.
•
Save on incident: Saves the game whenever an event triggers, like a raid or disease. This locks in the outcome and keeps you from save-scumming.
Key Features
—
Settings button: Adds a settings button next to the selection on the storyteller screen.
—
Save slots: Set how many save files to keep (1 to 20).
—
Custom interval: Set how often it autosaves in days, and choose the exact in-game hour it does the save (default is 08:00).
—
Disable vanilla autosaves: Can turn off the game's normal daily autosave in permadeath to avoid double saving.
—
Save on incident in normal mode: Adds a checkbox for standard Commitment mode so it can save on incidents too.
—
Reset button: A button in settings to reset everything to default values.
Compatibility
Safe to add or remove from existing saves.
Works with:
•
RimSaves: Shows what game mode the save was played with in the save game details list, and makes sure map screenshots are taken for commitment saves.
