Sentinel AI Engine
Sentinel AI Engine is the central cognitive bridge and prompt optimization engine for AI-powered mods in RimWorld.
Sentinel AI Engine is the central cognitive bridge and prompt optimization engine for AI-powered mods in RimWorld. It is designed to orchestrate, clean, and optimize the prompt streams of RimChat, RimTalk, and RimMind for maximum stability and performance, particularly when using smaller local models (like 1B–8B parameters).
Core Features
- Surgical Response Scrubber: Real-time interception and scrubbing of network packets to clean up hallucinated markdown tags, training artifacts, and model noise (e.g.,
<|im_start|>,}```json) that cause small models to break. - Global Prompt Optimizer: Automatically enforces formatting constraints (like concise one-sentence completions) on system prompts to ensure local AI models remain stable and conversational.
- Dynamic Directive Watcher: Monitors active prompt configuration changes on the fly with zero-delay hot-reloading.
- Linux DLL Mapping Redirection: Built-in compatibility layer that automatically registers required DLL bindings on Linux systems.
Supported Integrations
This engine serves as the custom bridge for:
- RimChat (AI chat integrations)
- RimTalk (AI dialogue/speech)
- RimMind (AI cognitive task decision engines)
Configuration
Note: To keep your mod settings clean and unified, all configuration settings for the Sentinel AI Engine are managed via the centralized Utility Framework: Menu mod. Enable or disable modules directly from there!
