Pause only on the letters you want!

Free Letter Pause lets you decide, per incident and per letter type, whether the game should pause when a letter arrives. With vanilla, fine-grained control - like pausing only on a specific mod's events - is impossible.

When a letter from a checked incident arrives, the game pauses. Incidents that share the same color and the same letter type can still be configured differently. For example, pause on raids but not on manhunter packs, or let trader visits play on while pausing only on specific quest offers.

Identifying the sender of shared letters

Many mods do not create their own letter types and instead use vanilla shared types like Good news or Neutral news. Free Letter Pause identifies the sending mod at the moment the letter arrives. Once the sender is identified, it is registered as a separate entry in the Other mods tab, like this. From then on, that mod's letters can be adjusted individually.

Q1. Can I add this to an existing save?

Yes, you can add it to a running save right away. It stores nothing in your save file, so removing it is safe too.

Q2. Some mod letters show English names or defNames.

Those are letters whose actual title has not been seen yet. Once you receive such a letter, its displayed title is remembered and used in the list. If you load a save where you have already received it, the title is recovered automatically from the recent letter history.

Q3. Can I pause only on letters from a specific mod?

Yes. Enable only that mod's entries in the Other mods tab. Even if the mod uses vanilla shared letter types, the sender is identified once a letter arrives and registered as a separate entry.
