World of Rim

Your viewers aren't watching your colony die anymore. They're part of it.

Every viewer builds their own colonist: face, body, race/xenotype, skills, traits, backstory, apparel, weapons. Then they choose how they arrive: a Wanderer at your gate (always free), a drop pod in the dead of night, a hostile raid, an infestation, a siege, a shuttle landing. Thirteen entry types. You enable the ones you want, set Bits prices, or make everything free at your own risk. Your colony, your rules.

Once in, the viewer carries the name they chose, lives their RimWorld life, and dies like everyone else. If they fall, they can be resurrected, with Bits or for free depending on what you allow. If they want one more chance, they unlock an extra slot (the first one is free), under whichever rules you set.

Do your viewers manage better than Cassandra? Probably not. But now, it's their fault.

You stay in charge: which entry types are allowed, at what price, how many max slots per viewer, how many active colonists at once, cooldowns, time-limited sales. A Community page lets viewers vote on what comes next, a News page tracks the roadmap.

Setup

1. Subscribe to the mod (Steam handles the install).
2. Launch RimWorld, open Mod Options > World of Rim, click the Twitch auth button. Your browser opens, log in to Twitch and accept.
3. Install the Twitch Extension on your channel: World of Rim Extension
4. Activate the extension in your channel's video extension slot.

• Become an animal: skip the colonist slot and join as a pet, a pack beast or a wild predator stalking the edge of the map.
• Build your faction: design your own faction, allied or hostile, and drop it straight into the streamer's world.
• Shape an ideology: forge beliefs and spread them across the Rim, one convert at a time.
• Research and unlock powers: earn points from the extension and cash them in for boosts, abilities or game-bending powers.
• Personal inventory: stash weapons, resources and gifts, then send them to the colony when it matters most.
• Shop and live events: spend Bits to buy items, trigger events or buff your colonist.
• Real-time notifications: get pinged the moment your pawn is hurt, breaks down or gets rescued, so you are never out of the loop.
• Leaderboards and records: viewer rankings, colony milestones and bragging rights that outlive the save.
• Deeper pawn fiches: a dedicated Genes tab and richer tooltips so every xenotype quirk is readable at a glance.
• Streamer-side xenotype controls: whitelist or blacklist xenotypes to lock in the run you want.
• Twitch integration upgrades: a proper extension panel alongside the overlay.
