Sharingan Cybernetics

This mod adds the Sharingan, Mangekyo Sharingan, Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, Hashirama Cells, and Rinnegan to RimWorld as a complete system featuring implant fabrication, event-based awakening, transplantation from blood relatives, inherited ocular techniques, and active abilities. Supported Version: RimWorld 1.6 Author: KasiNotFound Required Dependency: Harmony Active Abilities: Require the Royalty DLC Characters without a psylink still receive the implants' passive stat bonuses, but their active ocular techniques will not appear.

Sharingan Evolution

• []Single Tomoe: Can be fabricated at a fabrication bench after completing the required research. []Double Tomoe: Awakens when the user is downed or witnesses a close companion being downed. []Triple Tomoe: Accumulates evolution progress through combat, kills, being downed, and witnessing friends or relatives suffer serious injuries. []Mangekyo Sharingan: Awakens when a close or directly related character dies and grants one randomly selected ocular technique. []Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan: Transplant a Mangekyo taken from the matching eye of a blood relative into your pawn's empty eye socket, allowing it to fuse with the pawn's remaining original Mangekyo. []Rinnegan: An Eternal Mangekyo automatically awakens into a Rinnegan after Hashirama Cells are implanted.

Each eye independently records its level, left or right eye position, evolution progress, donor, and ocular techniques. As a result, a pawn's two eyes can be at different evolutionary stages.

Triple-Tomoe Abilities

• []Insight Mode: Enhances the user's vision and combat reactions. []Sharingan Genjutsu: Disrupts the target's mind and ability to act.
• Hypnotic Eye: Temporarily controls an enemy and turns them into an ally.

All active ocular techniques require a psylink.

Mangekyo Ocular Techniques

Each character's Mangekyo receives one randomly selected ability, which is shared between both eyes by default.

• []Kotoamatsukami: Permanently converts an enemy into a member of the colony. Each eye requires approximately one year to recover after use. []Tsukuyomi: Immediately inflicts a severe mental break on the target. Its effectiveness is influenced by psychic sensitivity. []Kamui: Includes self-intangibility, ranged spatial distortion, storage of pawns and items, and the ability to release stored targets. []Amaterasu: Continuously burns the target and its corpse until all durability is depleted. The black flames do not ignite or spread to the surrounding environment.
• Izanagi: Passively negates fatal damage and revives the user, but permanently blinds one Mangekyo Sharingan.

Excessive use of ordinary Mangekyo techniques gradually causes blindness. A completely blind Mangekyo no longer provides its normal abilities or stat bonuses. Removing the corresponding eye also removes all abilities bound to it.

Eternal Mangekyo and Susanoo

The Eternal Mangekyo can inherit ocular techniques from both the user and the blood-relative donor. Izanagi cannot be inherited. The Eternal Mangekyo does not lose vision from using ocular techniques and unlocks a translucent purple Susanoo. Susanoo has an independent shield durability value and absorbs most melee and ranged damage. It automatically deactivates when its durability is depleted and can also be dismissed by pressing the ability again.

Hashirama Cells

The “Hashirama Cell Cultivation” research project requires 20,000 research points. Fabrication cost:

Hashirama Cells provide no combat or work-related stat bonuses. Instead, they grant exceptionally powerful regeneration:

• Gradually regenerate missing body parts

Hashirama Cells are required for an Eternal Mangekyo to awaken into a Rinnegan.

Rinnegan Abilities

The Rinnegan provides extremely powerful overall stat bonuses, with especially large improvements to sight, consciousness, manipulation, accuracy, evasion, learning, research, medicine, and neural heat capacity.

• []Shinra Tensei: Releases an advancing repulsive wave in the selected direction, throwing back pawns, items, and projectiles while striking buildings. Costs no psyfocus and has a five-second cooldown. []Automatic Defense: Releases a small Shinra Tensei when a hostile attack is about to hit. It can intercept multiple projectiles from the same burst and shares its cooldown with the active version. []Bansho Tenin: Select target A and then destination B to forcibly pull A toward B. Colliding with a wall causes damage based on the distance traveled. []Chibaku Tensei: Creates a black gravitational core with a selectable radius of 16, 24, or 32. It continuously absorbs nearby matter and enemies, seals its victims, and can later be manually released. []Amenotejikara: Exchanges the positions of two pawns or objects. It is available only to a Rinnegan awakened from an Eternal Mangekyo that inherited Amaterasu. []Rinne Rebirth: Resurrects multiple dead pawns within the affected area. The cost increases with the number revived; resurrecting twenty people at once kills the caster.

Race Compatibility

Vanilla human pawns display the eye texture corresponding to the installed Sharingan stage. Alien races can install and evolve the eyes, receive all stat bonuses, and use every ability normally. Eye overlays are not drawn on them by default to prevent misalignment on unusual head shapes, such as those used by Ratkin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are the active abilities missing? The Royalty DLC is required, and the character must have a sufficiently advanced psylink. Why can't I create an Eternal Mangekyo? The donor Mangekyo must come from a blood relative, and its original eye side must match the recipient's empty eye socket. Why didn't the Eternal Mangekyo become a Rinnegan? You must complete the relevant research and implant Hashirama Cells into the character. The Rinnegan will awaken automatically once all requirements are met. Why are the eyes invisible on alien races? This prevents visual misalignment on unusual head shapes. All attributes and abilities still function normally.
