Actually Date

Actually Date adds player-initiated dates and hang outs to the right click menu using Vanilla Social Interactions Expanded. It uses romance-style integration meaning that things like compatibility and such decide whether or not the person will accept, as well as the same rejection logic.

If you have Perspective Shift installed, any request that targets the player avatar will allow you to choose the outcome.

A note on VSIE, and dating

VSIE criteria for random dates is almost definitely not what you might expect. Thus I implement the initiated dates using romance success rates, with slightly more permissive criteria. The idea is that someone may not be willing to start a relationship, but might be willing to go for a walk. This can be useful to bridge social gaps between pawns you want to be together or just regular roleplay.

Does this affect VSIE?

No, I don't patch anything in VSIE and I also respect their settings. If you disable something in VSIE it will not appear here. On that same note, I don't change anything in VSIE so I am also not in control of when it decides to initiate dates or how those are chosen.

Known issues

If you are using Perspective Shift, the player avatar is selected more often for dates presumably because their normal walking around behavior is considered not working (a major check for VSIE dates). Thus if you find your colonists are needy for your attention, you know maybe let them have it?

On a more serious note, the point of this paragraph is to explain if you have this happening, loosing up your pawns schedules may help because it will offer more targets for VSIE besides the avatar character.
