Break Psychic Bonds - The False Poison
Unlisted because I consider this very incomplete.
Unlisted because I consider this very incomplete. Desc contains a bit more yapping about technicals and behind the scenes than usual.
Adds a drug that cures psychic bonds, at the cost of a temporary death-like coma. The one who has the bonding gene will still have a mental break.
It's worth keeping in mind this only removes the bond, not the relationship. I generally use Character Editor to do that, and made this mod mostly because using ChaEd to get rid of bonds felt cheesy, even when I self-imposed costs like archotech artifacts or sacrificing promising prisoners.
To do:
VRE Highmate Compatibility
Currently, the drug does nothing but put the person to sleep for a bit.
- Psychic bond hediff is the same in VRE-H, so I currently think it's being re-applied somehow.
- Attempting to make patch identical to that for vanilla psychic bond but for the extra bonding hediffs failed, throws red errors. No spelling mistakes found, unsure what exactly I was doing wrong there. Said the patch operations failed, even though they were basically the same as one that worked perfectly.
Properly work out how this is meant to be obtained
Currently locked behind vanilla penicillin research, costing lots of luciferium and neutroamine.
- Quest reward.
- Valuable trading.
- Crafting should require a small amount of both glitterworld medicine and luciferium, and a little bit of neutroamine, as well as its own research.
Requirements
Only requires Biotech.
Compatibility
Currently not compatible with Vanilla Races Expanded - Highmate... the exact mod you'd probably wanna use this with. See why I consider this incomplete?

Note that this channel is *NOT* Rimworld related. It's a worldbuilding channel. That said, you might notice some Rimworld-esque stuff in the worldbuilding, such as organ harvesting, war crimes, morbid hilarity and widespread cannibalism.
