DBH Waterwheel Pump

No wells! No electricity! All you need is a river!

Adds a river-powered waterwheel pump for Dubs Bad Hygiene, allowing you to draw water directly from flowing freshwater.

Designed specifically for medieval playthroughs: no wells, no electricity! Fully adapted for DBH for Medieval and Medieval Overhaul, and only requires Medieval tech level.

This might just be the missing piece of your medieval castle!

The pump fully uses DBH's existing pollution and water quality systems, so — please don't place your sewage outlet upstream from the pump.

When winter arrives and the river freezes, the pump will naturally stop working as well.

**Think about it: during the growing season, the waterwheel provides a steady supply of water for irrigating your fields, helping them produce more crops. Then, in the cold winter months, when irrigation is no longer needed, your medieval colony relies mainly on unreliable wind pumps and buckets filled with water for its daily needs. It feels just like a real medieval village!**

The default pumping capacity is 2000 L/day, slightly below the Wind Pump's peak output of 3000 L/day, so the Wind Pump still has its place. You can also adjust the pumping rate in the Mod Settings to suit your preferred balance.

The pump is Medieval tech level and requires 400 research points.

If Medieval Overhaul is enabled, you must complete Engineering → Watermill before the pump can be unlocked.

This mod reuses DBH and RimWorld's existing systems and interfaces wherever possible, without introducing a complex standalone water network, helping reduce compatibility and stability risks.

It has been tested for over 10 hours in my personal long-term medieval save with 400+ mods, with no errors or issues related to this mod found so far.
