Dragon Balls

Seven mystical orbs are scattered across the world, each one guarded by those who sense their power. Collect all seven, build a summoning circle, and channel their combined energy to make a wish.

How it works

1. Sense them out. Periodically, you'll receive a letter that a Dragon Ball has been sensed somewhere in the world. A guarded site appears on the world map — send a caravan to claim it. A persistent alert icon stays on screen the whole time the site exists, so you'll never lose track of it — click it any time to jump straight to the location. 2. Fight for it. Every site is defended. Early balls are guarded lightly — a small ambush, a handful of raiders. The guardians grow stronger with each orb you already hold, so by the time you're hunting the seventh, expect a real fight. The type of guard varies too: ambushes, outposts, turret nests, manhunter packs, even sleeping mechanoids. 3. Build the summoning circle. Once you have all seven, a colonist can construct a Dragon Summoning Circle — free to build, no materials required. 4. Perform the ritual. Haul all seven balls to the circle and queue the bill. As the ritual begins, the sky itself darkens in a dramatic eclipse that lasts a few hours — plenty of time to finish before it lifts. 5. Make your wish. The dragon appears and grants a single wish of your choosing.

Wishes

  • Heal a chosen colonist of wounds and ailments
  • Resurrect a fallen colonist
  • Grant a haul of resources and rare materials
  • Immortality — grants Death Refusal (requires Anomaly DLC)
  • Youth — restores a colonist to their prime
  • A hidden sixth wish exists for those who know where to look...

A few things worth knowing

  • Once all seven balls are in your possession, no new ones will spawn — there's nothing left out there to find until you make your wish and the cycle resets.
  • The Immortality wish requires the Anomaly DLC to function, and simply won't be offered without it.
  • There's also a secret wish tied to the Biotech DLC's xenotype system. If you don't own Biotech, you'll never see it — and that's by design.
  • You can only choose one wish per gathered set of seven — but nothing stops you from gathering another set later and wishing again.

Compatibility

No known conflicts. Should be safe to add to existing saves.
