Here is the released version of this mod.

Here is the released version of this mod.

Snapshot Build

  • Version: 3.5-snapshot for RimWorld 1.6.
  • Required dependency: Harmony must load before Dynamic Map Size (Snapshot).
  • Warning: Do not enable this snapshot together with the stable/original release.

Dynamic Map Size (Snapshot)

Control map dimensions, generation profiles, playable borders, performance guidance, diagnostics, and in-game reroll tools from one settings panel.

Main Features

  • Custom sizes: Create maps from 10x10 to 1000x1000.
  • Asymmetric maps: Set width and height independently.
  • Presets: Use Vanilla, Large, Wide, Tall, Mega, or three custom preset slots.
  • Override modes: Choose one-time override, Always Override, or the Settle Popup flow.
  • Map profiles: Configure settlements, quests, encounters, temporary maps, and detected Odyssey orbit/space maps separately.
  • Live preview: Review map shape, cell count, vanilla-area multiplier, and Safe/Heavy/Extreme impact.
  • Shortcut: Open settings with Right Shift by default.

Recommendations and Performance

  • Receive tile-aware size recommendations based on biome and terrain.
  • Review a performance budget based on map area, active mods, RAM, processor count, and open maps.
  • Tiny and extreme sizes include additional warnings, spawn-footprint protection, and safe asteroid-ruin handling.

Playable / Buildable Area

  • Adjust buildable, zoning, and settlement edge distances.
  • Use border values above 64 when the current map supports them.
  • Scale borders automatically or remove map limits completely.
  • Enable persistent boundary overlays with separate color presets.
  • Boundary visuals update immediately after setting changes.

Current Map Reroll

  • Recreate the loaded ground map at a selected size without leaving the save.
  • Eligible player pawns are preserved and respawned on a best-effort basis.
  • Buildings, items, animals, terrain, plants, zones, and map layout are regenerated.
  • Unsafe states are checked before the operation begins.
  • Warning: This is a destructive rebuild tool. Save before using it.

World Reroll

  • Regenerate the planet, world grid, factions, seed, climate, population, landmarks, and pollution.
  • Run the complete flow in-session without returning to RimWorld's main menu.
  • Skip scenario and pawn preparation to focus only on planet generation.
  • Recover requested factions, restore world-scale settlement density, and repair incomplete relations.
  • Reattach the active player map to the replacement world.
  • Retain detached player pawns and migrate caravans when possible.
  • Reject incomplete replacement worlds and retain the previous world when validation or finalization fails.

Reroll Safety and Recovery

  • Review warnings and blockers through a dedicated World Reroll preflight report.
  • Save three World Reroll profiles containing planet parameters and faction selections.
  • Create timestamped backups before Current Map Reroll and World Reroll.
  • Restore DMS backups through the in-mod Backup Recovery tool.
  • A pre-rollback safety copy is created before replacing the active save.

Diagnostics and Compatibility

  • Store the latest 20 map-generation attempts.
  • Report requested size, actual size, profile, duration, patch owners, active mods, and exceptions.
  • Detect risky mod combinations and external Harmony patches affecting map generation.
  • Use Safe Generation Mode for targeted compatibility safeguards.
  • Show an optional post-generation summary.

Settings, UI, and Language

  • Use global settings or optional per-save configurations.
  • Import and export settings as plain JSON.
  • English is the default language; Turkish is available from Preferences.
  • Gameplay controls remain locked until a save is loaded.
  • Menus and dialogs use consistent navigation, spacing, expanded scrolling, previews, and visual hierarchy.
  • Meet the animated pixel duck mascot on the Overview page.
