Want to know which mod a song came from without digging through your entire mod list? Looking for a clean music display that doesn't change how music works? This may finally be an answer to your woes.

This doesn't alter or allow you to customize music playback. It provides a vanilla-friendly display for music that sits in the top-right corner of the screen. Optionally you can move it where you wish and it will remember its position. It fades in to show the current track's title, along with a small icon and the name of the mod or expansion it originated from. Some of Rimworld's songs were obviously not meant to be seen by a player. All of those tracks have been corrected through the display itself. No more underscores, noodles, or uncapitalized letters. Gross. During raids, the divider shifts to red, and the icons are recolored to match. I felt this gave a subtle visual cue without distracting from the game.

Optional Toggles

A progress bar that fills the divider as the current track plays.

Enabled by default.

The display can be set to fade itself out after a few seconds, like early aughts games.

Disabled by default.

Lowers the glow on the red icons during tense music to something softer.

Disabled by default.

The icons are traded out for ones showing the tech era of what's playing.

Enabled by default and only visible with Progression: Soundtrack

Aligns the display for a left sided placement.

Disabled by default.

I don't have much else to say here. This mod speaks for itself I feel. Originally this project started as a sub-mod for Music Manager to make the little seek bar it has appear red during raids. I decided to finish that because I know some folks will still want the extra features Music Manager has over Now Playing. You can find my submod here.
