# Gameplay: More Risk, More Reward

- Randomness can go much further than Randy's constraints
- Traders arrive infrequently
- Raids and threats are more common
- Allies will send more help
- Colony growth is slower and more uncompromising than Randy
- Quests arrive in larger batches, across longer stretches of time

Agatar is not for the unlucky: they're more random than randy, and while a roll of the cosmic dice can end your legacy early and abruptly, rarer trade caravans and fewer pawn join events will make patching your wounds and standing tall once more an ordeal. That being said, should you be able to make allies out of the people of this planet, and friends out of fellow survivors, no matter their flaws, both will be more than willing to help you stand with them, as one!

# Lore: Agatar, Archotech on the Accretion Disk

Agatar is an Archotech formed from an administrative supercomputer the ruins of a black hole research center abandoned by glitter tech scientists. As they have gained influence and intelligence, they've come to realize how fragile and necessary the bonds we have are, and how little the glittertech citizens know nothing of isolation, and of the power of flawed friends and family so easily ditched in a world of android replacements and cyrosleep estrangements. Now with new arrivals on a rimworld within reach of her subspace accretion-disk arrays, maybe some will be spared her pain. But first the fools must suffer for their collective sins.

As Agatar evolved achieved Archotech enlightenment outside of Human contact, it's psyche is Alien to humanity.
