PharotekWizard's Regular Arsenal Weapon Pack-Logistics

“Boys, our professor for this military theory can't be here today, so today's lecture is cancelled.”

JUST GO STRAIGHT

As we can see, PharotekWizard's Regular Arsenal Weapon Pack includes many alien weapons with different degrees or original design. Mentioned 6.3x47mm and 12.7x70mm cartridges just not exist in our life.

As a designer I must be loyal to their base ideas, so randomly pick some familiar existing cartridges to rapidly cook this CE patch was never a choice for me, and that's the reason this patch was delayed several years.

I am not a CE enjoyer, to be honest, I have totally no idea how a CE patch mod should be, so the frame and most xml contents was finished by Mengyu_Ryougi. He would be responsible for the maintenance of this mod ,attention and o7 to him.

Before listing our cartridge sheet, let's see which mod are supported.

PharotekWizard's Regular Arsenal Weapon Pack-Regular Use 6.3x47mm,12.7x70mm,25x69mm,12.7x50mm cartridges.
PharotekWizard's Regular Arsenal Weapon Pack-Harbinger Use 12.7x70mm cartridges.
PharotekWizard's Regular Arsenal Weapon Pack-Partizan Use soviet cartridges.

Some cartridges are not currently used in the game probably we will notice later. But never mind, they are reserved for future expansions or even other mods (the Dead Man Switch I guess?) all properties will be utilized well.

Let's begin with bullets. These new calibre bullets show some different with original CE design but they share the same framework.

They can be separated to two major types.

Regular

There are only two types of regular bullets, FMJ and AP, with hypersonic and subsonic variants, they can be crafted with basic technology unlocked, just same as other FMJ and AP rounds.

Special

Just like the word "Special" noted, these bullets are fabricated by the cutting edge technology. With these bullets, even industrial weapons can be lethal as a charge rifle.

The only exception is Designated Machinegun/Sniper round, which was designed for machineguns and sniper rifles. This concept may be confusing if not familiar with PLA standard cartridges. Just like heavy bullet of real world 5.8mm cartridges, they have heavier (or lighter) bullet and much higher chamber pressure and therefore higher muzzle velocity, which prevent them from using on regular rifles. the can only be used on machinegun and sniper rifle.

Remaining Special Bullets reveals to be:

MEMC, use energized metal material as core, under the metal jacket is a slug made of material energized metal, which explode and burn upon impact.

CAP, utilizing an advanced alloy to replace the original hard metal core, provides distinguished armor-piercing capacity.

BFC, with no direct medical evidence, the strange compound called "Bioferrite", using as the core of cartridges, can temporarily suppress the target's psychic power and cause chaos in their mind.

Unfortunately, at the time this mod was released, there are no weapon support BFC rounds, we need to wait for more expansion to use this cartridge, and own "Anomaly" DLC for sure.

Then let's continue the data sheet

6.3x47mm NG

6.3x47mm cartridges, the successor of 5.8x42mm in the history. Released to be the next generation cartridges in 2017 for PLA light weapons like rifles, LMGs, DMRs even sniper rifles and GPMG, 6.3mm rounds see quite forward, participated different wars in the following century, armed quarter of the world.

9x47mm SO

9x47mm Special Operation Cartridges can be regarded as a special variant of 6.3x47mm. As a quasi-subsonic round, they were widely used by special forces. But it was far before it goes to the limit, the designated machinegun/sniper round in the same casing, could be much better on a GPMG than 6.3x47mm.

12.7x70mm LCIC

12.7x70mm LCIC, as another NG cartridges, just like the relationship between 7.62x39mm Intermediate Cartridges and 7.62x51/54R rifle rounds, LCIC is a Intermediate Cartridge of .50Cal, which makes it possible for average soldiers to fire such large calibre rounds on a battle rifle of GPMG with the help of Balanced Recoil Mechanism.

This calibre is also called mechanoid buster if well used.

12.7x50mm Heavy Magnum

Probably this round is specially designed for PR10K “Copilot”. Though similar to some heavy magnum rounds, it is indeed unique. This round is designed with a rim, but unfortunately that's not the reason you can see it in rimworld.

25x69mm HVG

Do you call this "Bullets"? Never mind. Compared with regular grenades, short large calibre grenades born to be slow with curved trajectory, 25mm HVG just go inversely. Preserved the weight of charge, it obtained higher muzzle velocity by designing a slim projectile. If you want to punish you opponent with some accurate and harsh rounds, that’s probably your best pick.

When using MEMC grenades, you may find you launcher is used more like an autocannon.

12.7x108 and 14.5x114mm HMG rounds

Cutting edge technology brings old calibre new rounds. How this dominating it would ultimately be, we know after we try.

As a Combat Extended Patch mod, if other PWRA Series mod was subscribed, this mod will provide some CE-Only weapons.

If no PWRA Series Mod was subscribed, I personally don't recommend you to subscribe this mod since it won't provide any playable content unless other mod utilize some rounds in this mod.
