◆ Pillar Planner ◆

It shows you where to put columns so you can build a roof or so your mine doesn't collapse. It's really that simple.

✦ The Map View: Plan Before You Dig

The map view answers one question: if every order I have queued right now gets carried out, which roofs fall?
  • Designation aware: rock marked for mining and buildings marked for deconstruction or uninstall are treated as already gone, so the overlay shows the future, not the present.
  • Plans count too: wall and column blueprints and frames are treated as supports you will have, and your build roof area is treated as roof you will want. Draw the plan first and the overlay tells you whether it stands.
  • Colour graded danger: cells that would lose support tint orange under thin roof and red under overhead mountain, where a collapse can kill.
  • Ghost columns show the fix: softly pulsing column ghosts mark suggested support positions, spaced against the same 6.9 tile rule the engine itself enforces.

✦ The Room View: Point and Plan

Building a great hall and not sure the roof will hold? Switch to the room view and point at it.
  • Hover any enclosed room: a blue outline confirms the room is recognized, and cells too far from a wall to keep a roof light up at once.
  • Pillar ghosts scoped to the room: suggested column positions appear only for the room under your cursor, so the rest of the map stays clean.
  • Great for pre-builds: because planned walls count as supports, you can hover a room that exists only as blueprints and place its pillars before a single wall is up.

✦ Requirements

  • Harmony (brrainz.harmony), the only dependency.
