Small Quarry (3x3)- Cost: 30 wood, 10 steel
- Up to 9 workers at once
- Yields stone chunks, steel, slag, silver, and components
- Cost: 80 wood, 30 steel
- Up to 25 workers at once
- Same drops as small, plus gold, jade, plasteel, and uranium
- Cost: 150 wood, 60 steel, 2 components
- Up to 49 workers at once
- Great drop rates for rare materials
- Cost: 250 wood, 120 steel, 4 components
- Up to 81 workers at once
- Requires Advanced Quarrying research (Industrial tier, 1200 cost)
- Highest drop rates for plasteel, uranium, gold, jade, and components
- Construction skill 6 required
How It Works
- Build a quarry (requires Quarrying research, 400 cost, Neolithic tier)
- Quarrying is its own work type in the work tab (separate from Mining)
- Multiple pawns can work the same quarry simultaneously (1 per tile)
- Each quarrying cycle produces a random resource based on quarry size
- Resources spawn unforbidden with a haul designation
- Toggle quarrying on/off with the gizmo button
Settings
Configurable in mod settings:- Workers per tile multiplier (default 1.0x, range 0.1-3.0)
- Auto-haul quarried resources (default on)
- Minimum mining skill for quarrying (default 0, range 0-20)
