RimWorld Compute
Your colony opens a brokerage.
Your colony opens a brokerage. Colonists trade shares in the other civilizations of the rim at a Trading Bench; prices move with real in-game events. Later, datacenters and compute modules automate trading and store market knowledge, turning a manual chore into an autonomous financial machine.
FEATURES
- A living stock market: every faction in your world gets a ticker, plus market-only civilizations for depth. Prices drift, mean-revert, and react to goodwill changes, wars, raids, trade caravans, seasons, and your colony's wealth.
- Manual trading: research Basic Finance, build a Trading Bench, assign the new Trade work type, deposit silver, and queue buy/sell orders. Fill quality scales with Intellectual skill.
- Market news letters, dividends, and (after Market Analysis research) skill-scaled prediction hints.
- Datacenters and compute: craft compute modules in three tiers, rack them in a power-hungry, heat-producing datacenter, and allocate compute to workloads — automated trading, research acceleration, and raid prediction.
- Knowledge as an asset: your cluster accrues market knowledge over time that sharpens its edge — and losing your datacenters loses knowledge with them.
- Positive expected value, real risk: the market trends up over a long game, but bear markets, crashes, and fees are real. A hard risk cap guarantees no setup ever becomes a risk-free money printer.
Balance sliders in mod settings (drift, volatility, fees).
