Viltrumite Expanded Backstories

Expand the lives of your Viltrumites beyond conquest. Viltrumite Expanded Backstories adds 15 new lore-inspired childhood and adulthood backstories based on Viltrumite history, culture, and society from Invincible. The backstories cover multiple periods of Viltrumite history, including the Great Purge, Emperor Argall's era, the Scourge Virus, the Coalition of Planets, life on Earth, and the later reformed Viltrumite Empire.

WHAT THIS MOD ADDS

6 New Childhood Backstories 9 New Adult Backstories Each background includes its own skill bonuses, traits, and lore-focused description.

LORE-FOCUSED

The goal is to add more variety to Viltrumite characters without turning them into generic RimWorld pawns. Skills and traits are designed around each character's background while remaining appropriate for Viltrumites. Viltrumite backstories do not receive Shooting bonuses.

REQUIREMENTS & COMPATIBILITY

RimWorld 1.6 No specific Viltrumite mod is required. Viltrumite Expanded Backstories supports the following mods independently and in combination: Viltrumites in Rimworld Invincible Xenotypes - Viltrumites Invincible Xenotypes - Thraxans You can use Viltrumites in Rimworld by itself, Invincible Xenotypes - Viltrumites by itself, both Viltrumite mods together, Invincible Xenotypes - Viltrumites with Thraxans, or all three together. Compatibility activates automatically based on which supported mods are installed. Thraxumite backstories become available when both Invincible Xenotypes - Viltrumites and Invincible Xenotypes - Thraxans are active. The mod uses its own BackstoryDefs and adds its backstories to the appropriate existing pools without replacing the originals.

OPTIONAL ICON SUPPORT

Trait and Backstory Icons Compatibility When Trait and Backstory Icons is installed, supported backstories from this mod, Invincible Xenotypes, and Viltrumites in Rimworld can use dedicated custom icons instead of the generic question mark fallback. The icon mod is optional.

INSTALLATION

Subscribe and enable the mod normally. No files from the original Viltrumite mods need to be edited or replaced.
