Medieval Rimworld [1.6]

A collection of mods I endorse to transform Rimworld into a Medieval setting... with a magical fantasy sub-theme.

Features

• Medieval overhaul: lock the world tech and research level

I recommend removing the vanilla Mech Hive faction on world creation, unless you want to die horribly to a Mech Cluster... but hey, you do you.


^^ This should be obvious, but use Maynard from VFE Medieval as your default storyteller.

Load Order

Please use RimSort to auto-sort your mod list.
RimSort is a pre-launcher, you run it before starting Rimworld. You 'sort', then 'save'.
This will save you hours of IRL time.

*** Upon loading the game, if an error log spawns do not ignore it ***

Take note of any red errors - actively REMOVE mods which give you red conflict.

A red error = some part or process is fundamentally broken. It will not work.

Your game will take longer to load then usual. Every mod you add increases the time.

Setup Tips!

Use World Tech Level to lock Tech to Medieval era.

On World Creation, check the list of add factions. Select a varied mix and remove duplicates.
On World Creation, remove Mech Hive faction and set pollution level to 0%.

FAQ's

Q) Can I use Rimworld of Magic
A) Yes, but reports suggest it (and more importantly Hugslib) is quite unstable on 1.6 right now. Swap out VFE Psycasts if you do.

Q) What about Vanilla Cooking / Brewing / Plants Expanded?
A) Medieval Overhaul has that covered, they would just add bloat. If you want Coffee & Tea, check out 'Erin's Hot Drinks'.

Q) What are the DLC requirements?
A) Collection uses all DLC. Use RimSort to identify & remove DLC-bound mods you may lack.

Q) What about Vehicles Framework?
A) It's a huge performance and load time hit, so I personally avoid it.
