Avatar - Personas brings your colonists to life with AI-generated pixel-art portraits that seamlessly integrate into the RimWorld UI. Building on bolphen's original Avatar mod, this version introduces a zero-touch "it just works" ComfyUI backend that handles the heavy lifting—from Python dependencies to high-quality background removal—automatically in the background.

• Custom Pixel-Art Avatars: Dynamic portraits for every pawn, visible in both the colonist bar and the inspect pane.
• Zero-Touch Bootstrapping: Automatically detects and manages a ComfyUI Portable instance, installing required nodes (RMBG) and Python libraries without manual setup.
• Intelligent Prompting: Uses a pawn's xenotype, race, and traits to synthesize lore-accurate AI prompts for distinctive looks.
• Pro-Grade Background Removal: Integrated InSPyReNet support ensures portraits have clean transparency, preserving clothing and hair details. Right click portrait -> regenerate to try again.
• Fully Automated Lifecycle: Automatically enqueues new pawns for generation and includes robust crash recovery/PID tracking to prevent orphaned background processes.
• Advanced Configuration: Fine-tune your results with in-game sliders for checkpoints, LoRAs, and denoising strength, all monitored via a live status panel.
• May be slow on GFX cards with less than 8GB VRAM. 5 to 10 seconds per image on a 4090.

⚙️ Installation Guide

Install has been massively simplified. Subscribe: that's it.

Mod will auto install everything on first load. Expect a ~10GB download on your first map load. It downloads ComfyUI portable and the model files. There is a download/installation progress bar. If you already have ComfyUI setup for this mod it will detect that and do nothing, so your good no extra download.
