LOS Check
LOS Check is a line-of-sight overlay that helps you visualize cover and shooting angles.
LOS Check is a line-of-sight overlay that helps you visualize cover and shooting angles. It can track cover against both outgoing and incoming fire with color-coded cover percentages.
Drafted pawns or selected turrets will have a gizmo; clicking it turns on the overlay, either "static" (standing still) or "leaning" (checking what happens if a pawn leans out). Right-clicking on the gizmo allows switching between "offensive" and "defensive" modes, for checking cover for outgoing or against incoming fire, respectively.
Runs in real time!
There is a planning tool in the LOS Check menu. You can check LOS and cover from a virtual observer. Walls, cover and openings can be added that override the existing terrain, and now you can plan out the lanes of fire for your bunkers. Also includes a "union" mode to check outgoing fire from all observers at once, so you can be sure there are no blind spots.
Also includes a terrain cover overlay, showing the cover of each piece of terrain on the map.
LOS Check is tightly integrated with Combat Extended's mechanics if you run it, it will use CE's cover height instead of vanilla's cover percentage, show how vegatation affects shots and try to estimate cover from wall corners.
There is a config menu for color thresholds and to tune performance costs based on your computer (especially important with CE).
