LxO - Smart Allow

LxO - Smart Allow mod preview for RimWorld

Stop clicking "Allow" after every raid.

Stop clicking "Allow" after every raid.

Smart Allow automatically unforbids dropped items with full control over what gets allowed. Weapons, apparel, resources -- all handled. Drugs? Excluded by default.

Features

  • Auto-allow all forbidden items -- weapons, apparel, food, resources, everything
  • 11 category toggles -- control exactly what gets auto-allowed in mod settings
  • Drugs excluded by default -- raiders' yayo stays forbidden unless you opt in
  • Combat-aware -- holds auto-allow during active raids so pawns don't run into firefights
  • Home zone filter -- optionally only auto-allow items within your home zone
  • Double-forbid = permanent -- forbid something twice and Smart Allow stops touching it
  • Zero performance impact -- lightweight scan, no per-tick overhead

Category Toggles

Open mod settings to configure. Each category can be independently enabled or disabled:
  • Weapons -- ON by default
  • Apparel -- ON by default
  • Drugs -- OFF by default
  • Food -- ON by default
  • Resources (steel, wood, components) -- ON by default
  • Corpses -- ON by default
  • Stone chunks and slag -- ON by default
  • Body parts and bionics -- ON by default
  • Medicine -- ON by default
  • Artifacts and special items -- ON by default
  • Everything else -- ON by default

How Double-Forbid Works

  • A weapon drops during combat -- RimWorld auto-forbids it
  • Smart Allow unforbids it after combat ends
  • You decide you don't want THAT weapon -- you forbid it manually
  • Smart Allow sees you forbade something it already allowed -- marks it permanently forbidden
  • Smart Allow never touches that item again
This lets you keep specific items forbidden without disabling entire categories.

Compatibility

  • Works with any mod
  • Does not conflict with Allow Tool -- they solve different problems
  • Safe to add or remove mid-save
